Weekend Schedule

The Early Bird Sessions begin on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Event check-in begins Friday at 3 p.m. and the evening program with Gale Jones Murphy will begin at 7 p.m. The retreat concludes Sunday at noon.

Cost

Includes all retreat events and materials as well as a wonderful vegetarian cuisine: Brunch and supper on Sabbath and a brunch on Sunday. The registration fee does not include lodging.

$85 through Thursday, August 25.

$95 through Tuesday, September 6.

All registration fee check and money order payments should be made at time of event check-in.

Online registration will conclude on September 7 at 12:00 a.m. All paper registration forms should be postmarked no later than September 6, 2022.

Lodging

We have rooms secured at the Airport Holiday Inn at Des Moines. To get the discounted rate, $115 per room per night plus tax, call 515-287-2400 by August 25, 2022 and say you are with the "Iowa-Missouri Conference." You can reserve your room online here  but will only get the discounted rate if you call.

General Information

The Retreat is open to women 14 years of age and older. Women between the ages of 14-17 should indicate so below.

Infant Care (0-24 months) will be available during the following sessions only: Friday evening at 7 p.m., Sabbath afternoon seminar & Sunday morning 10:45 a.m. No infant or child will be allowed in the meeting rooms. Preregistration for infants is required. Must supply own diapers, milk, etc.

The Craft Sale will be open Friday afternoon, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. We ask that you donate handmade crafts only.

This year we are not requiring pre-registration for breakout sessions.

Retreat Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before September 6 will be refunded, less a $10 processing fee. Emergency cancellations will be handled individually.

Gale Jones Murphy

Leading worship on Friday evening at 7 p.m., Sabbath morning 10:45 a.m., Sabbath afternoon at 3 p.m. & Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.

Gale Jones Murphy is a music educator, concert pianist, vocal recording artist, entertainer, worship leader, choral director, humorist, and a composer of over 800 songs. Currently, she serves as the Minister of Music at the Mount Sinai SDA Church and a Music Director for Conway United Methodist Church, both in Orlando. Gale resides in the hills of Groveland, FL where she and her husband enjoy sunsets from the back window of their home.
